Dani’s journey into floral design began after a deeply personal transition. After staying home to raise her three children for 17 years, she found herself ready to dive back into the workforce when her oldest left for college. Rather than settling for something conventional, Dani decided to pursue her passion for flowers—and she’s never looked back.
Driven by a vision to create more than just floral arrangements, Dani launched The AZ Flower Garage as a place where people could gather, connect, and discover the art of floral design in an inviting, supportive environment. Her style is fun, fresh, and approachable, and her studio has become a beloved creative outlet where guests leave not just with stunning arrangements, but with confidence and joy.
"The most rewarding part of my job is seeing everyone leave the studio feeling confident and refreshed," Dani shares. It’s that magical spark of transformation—not just in the blooms, but in the people—that fuels her every day.
Of course, building a brand from the ground up hasn’t been without its challenges. For Dani, one of the hardest lessons has been learning to let go and trust others with her vision. "It’s hard to hand over the reins when you’re so deeply invested," she says. But with growth comes collaboration, and this year, Dani is focusing on building a team that will help The AZ Flower Garage flourish even more.
When asked about her inspirations, Dani lights up talking about her family. "My husband and my kids are my biggest cheerleaders," she says. With 28 years of marriage and three college-athlete children, Dani’s home life is as full of energy and heart as her studio.
Her professional accomplishments are just as inspiring. Though details are still under wraps due to an NDA, Dani hints at an exciting project set to launch next year. In the meantime, she's proud of the incredible relationships she’s cultivated with powerhouse brands like Gucci, Princess Polly, and Sephora.
For those just starting their floral journey, Dani has simple but powerful advice: "Find what sets you apart and run with it. Don't try to copy your competitors!" Authenticity, she believes, is the real secret to long-term success.
Looking ahead, Dani has big dreams of taking her brand from a beloved local gem to a national presence. And when she’s not dreaming up new blooms or hosting workshops, Dani stays busy with her other passions: traveling, fashion, hiking, kayaking, and cheering on her favorite sports teams (with three former college athletes in the family, sports are a big deal!).
Through her love of flowers, family, and creativity, Dani Christakos is not just growing a business—she’s growing a community. The AZ Flower Garage, future is blooming brighter than ever.
